I'm SO excited to be unveiling the details of a workshop designed by yours truly: Click Clique!  The official blog for this venture is located here, and includes all of the details PLUS interviews with fabulous photographers, happy little image-making tips, and perhaps a giveway...

clickcliquelogo copyA.jpgMoms often ask me to explain the functions of their brand new, superly-awesome Digital SLR with a quick tutorial.  The truth is, you can't learn to operate an advanced camera with a basic tutorial.  That's why Click Clique was born.

A WORKSHOP CALLED WHAT?
Click Clique.  A tight group of clickers.  Namely, Moms with expensive cameras given as gifts from well-meaning husbands or other family members that leave their cameras on AUTO most of the time.  Click Clique changes that.

HOW DOES THIS CLICK CLIQUE THING WORK?
You're a member of this exclusive group as soon as you sign up for a workshop.  Right now, you have two options: workshop 1 meets on Monday, May 12, or workshop 2 meets on Saturday, May 24.  {One full day does the trick -- two days are being offered as options to maximize the chances of fitting into your schedule.} The Click Clique workshop day will include an explanation of basic camera functions and modes, a live model shoot, tips and tricks from my pro arsenal, and a whole lot of happy little surprises.   {Think a spa-like day full of simple pleasures, fabulous chitter-chatter, giveaways, and learning!}

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN BE IN CLICK CLIQUE?
A Click Clique workshop is limited to 15 attendees per session.  This way, you get personal attention, but there are enough spots available to be able to bring a friend or two.

HOW LONG DOES A WORKSHOP LAST?
We meet and greet starting at 8AM, and instruction starts promptly at 9.  {You can show up at 8:55 if you're feeling anti-social.}  Activities, shoots, and all sorts of wonderful camera goodness will continue until 2.  If you need to leave at that time to get kiddos off the bus, skip on out!  If you'd like to stick around for an extended question and answer session, I'll be answering questions until at least 4.

IS THE INSTRUCTION GOING TO BE WAY OVER MY HEAD?
Click Clique exists for Moms who are beginners to the world of the digital SLR.  If you know all about apertures, shutter speeds, ISOs, and Manual shooting, this isn't the workshop for you.  If, however, your camera is usually on Auto and you use your on-camera flash for lighting, sign up quickly!  I can help!

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO BELONG TO CLICK CLIQUE?
A full day's instruction, a shoot with live models, coffee, snacks, and lunch are included for $249.  Oh, and the best part? Your workshop fee also includes an Essential Imagery portrait session with yours truly for up to 3 subjects (human, canine, or feline) within 3 months of your workshop.

WHERE WILL THE WORKSHOPS BE TAKING PLACE?
The Hampton Inn in Exton, Pennsylvania {hamptoninnexton.com} will be hosting us.  The hotel has a lovely facility, a phenomenal staff, and is located a mere 15 minutes from King of Prussia.

CAN I SPEND THE NIGHT?
Absolutely!  It's a hotel, after all...so bring a friend, get your learn on, and then enjoy a girly sleepover!  {Margaritas and mojitos are not included in your workshop fee.  Sorry!}

WHAT IF I ONLY HAVE A POINT-AND-SHOOT CAMERA?
Then you can't be a member of Click Clique...yet.  If enough Moms show interest, you just might get to join!

HOW DO I KNOW IF I HAVE A DIGITAL SLR?
If your camera doesn't hold film and you can change the lenses on the front of its body, you have a Digital SLR on your hands.

WHY IS AUTO BAD, AGAIN?
Keeping your camera in AUTO mode all the time is like buying a Mercedes and never taking it above 35 m.p.h.  on the roadway.  Sure, it's still a Mercedes, but you aren't gettin' your money's worth!

WILL MY PHOTOS LOOK LIKE YOURS WHEN WE'RE DONE?
No, but they'll improve!  Photography is both my passion and my livelihood.  I shoot all day, every day, and play for hours on end in the name of learning, growth, and improving my business.

DO I NEED PHOTOSHOP FOR ALL OF THIS?
Nope!  Though future Click Clique workshops might focus on the needs of those entering the world of Photoshop, the initial dates are for improving your skills with your camera, not your computer.

WHAT IF I HAVE QUESTIONS?
You can call 610-995-0850 between 10 and 5, Monday through Saturday, or you can e-mail me.  I'm happy to answer any questions not answered here in more detail.

HOW DO I PAY FOR THE WORKSHOP?
Call 610-995-0850 between 10 and 5, Monday through Saturday, and I'll take your credit card payment over the phone.  If you'd like to pay during non-business hours, e-mail me {kristen@essentialimagery.com} and I'll make it happen.  A registration packet will be sent out to provide final details and HOMEWORK in late March.
