Dear Summer,
Please come back and don’t ever leave me. I will make you lemonade every day if you will play with me again.
Love,
Kristen
To be a secret agent, you must master the cuteness. Pose for portraits in a sly way.
If you can make drool cute, you’re on the way to cracking even the toughest enemy.
As your training continues, you must practice couch-diving and other forms of ninja trickery.
When in doubt, wear monkey pajamas. Grown-ups never suspect anyone wearing such clothing of any wrongdoing.
You must use your exceptionally long eyelashes and boyish charms to your advantage.
Finally, you must always have a costume at the ready. Bat-Mardi-Gras-pajama-man is a surefire disguise.
Oh, and never hesitate to utter the words ‘Bond, James Bond’ while super-soaking your enemy.

In all seriousness, traveling to the home of portrait clients who have become dear friends is a fantastic experience. Spending half my time cuddling and the other half making portraits of wee ones is even better. And best of all? The look on Mom’s face when she gets to see the portrait images! My job isn’t complete until the final portraits are purchased and displayed in a session album or on the wall.
Just a few images for the changing season. Winter gets closer and closer, but I’m not done with Autumn yet.

Yes, this was as much fun as it looks. All that rain and rescheduling led to leaves on the ground instead of in the trees. And fallen leaves lead to rolling in leaves, throwing leaves, burying one another in leaves…

Of course, boys are never content with mere leaf-throwing. They have to be Harry Potter, unwand the lowly children’s photographer, stage-dive for the adoring masses while rocking the air guitar, and grin slyly between antics.
(I wouldn’t have it any other way.)
