• You'd love to have a family portrait session that fully captures who you are, how you connect, and how much affection surfaces when all the members of your family are present within the camera frame.

We're happy to capture your family in our studio, complete with gorgeous light and minimal distractions, or in your comfy-cozy home full of familiar toys and routines. No matter where our session takes place, we'll delight in your delight. And we'll encourage you to pay attention to one another instead of the camera, because there's no 'add happy' button in Photoshop.

We don't care whether you're barefoot or wearing fuzzy slippers, and we won't be sending over a twenty-page list of suggestions about what to wear. (We can make you look beautiful in sweat pants if you love each other.) We just want to capture your family. Your habits, your quirks, and your love. Die-hard beach goers? World travelers? Animal lovers? Trekkies? We wanna see it. And when you view the images we've created together for the first time, we want the depth of love you feel for your family to grab you by the collar and bring tears to your eyes.

The video below provides a peek at how portrait sessions unfold. If you have questions or would like to schedule a portrait session, click on the 'Contact' link above or call 215-206-3689. Oh -- and thanks for stopping by, lovely!

P.S. That's Kristen up in the header -- Haunani is camera-shy.

  • The studio is closed through August 10th for summer vacation -- vive la France!

THE PERFECT FALL PORTRAITS chester springs child photography

These two were adorable together in a tweaked time slot and with some much-improved weather.  (No rain – score!)  This involved a little piggy going to market, a little piggy going to Wawa, and a little piggy going home.  At least the girl has tip-top taste in convenience stores…

HOW TO HAVE THE BEST DAY EVER.

1.) Go and see a movie.  Preferably before noon, so you get the super-cheap early morning matinee rates. (In this case, it was Where the Wild Things Are.)

2.) Immediately spend your savings on having theater food for breakfast.  I recommend pretzel bites with nacho cheese and Coke Zero. (Matt totally won on this, as I thought it would be disgusting, but it was one of my top five breakfasts ever.  Awesome.)

3.) Go home and change all the sheets in the household, then build a fort with ‘em before sending ‘em down the laundry chute.

4.) Add finishing touches depending on your age range, such as a typewriter, happy little garlands, an abandoned leg lamp, and every pillow in the house that isn’t being used right this second.

5.) Test your fort’s comfort level by taking a nap in it.

6.) Share hot chocolate with someone you love in your new favorite place.

BACKYARD MAYHEM – eastern pennsylvania child photographer

When I photographed this family last, Charlotte was a little shy and Graham wasn’t yet walking.  Well, now Graham is unstoppable and Charlotte is a dizzying ball of energy and enthusiasm.  This pretty much sums her up:

Luckily, the Graham man’s curiosity got the better of him, and he took a break from playing to inspect me.  And that biiig shiny breakable electronic thing I had…

We tried for a family shot, and I heart this one.  I love Graham’s ‘do you see what I have to put up with!!‘ face while Charlotte cracks herself up.
