• You'd love to have a family portrait session that fully captures who you are, how you connect, and how much affection surfaces when all the members of your family are present within the camera frame.

We're happy to capture your family in our studio, complete with gorgeous light and minimal distractions, or in your comfy-cozy home full of familiar toys and routines. No matter where our session takes place, we'll delight in your delight. And we'll encourage you to pay attention to one another instead of the camera, because there's no 'add happy' button in Photoshop.

We don't care whether you're barefoot or wearing fuzzy slippers, and we won't be sending over a twenty-page list of suggestions about what to wear. (We can make you look beautiful in sweat pants if you love each other.) We just want to capture your family. Your habits, your quirks, and your love. And when you view the images we've created together for the first time, we want the depth of love you feel for your family to grab you by the collar and bring tears to your eyes.

The video below provides a peek at how portrait sessions unfold. If you have questions or would like to schedule a portrait session, click on the 'Contact' link above or call 215-206-3689. Oh -- and thanks for stopping by, lovely!

SUMMER IN VALLEY FORGE – valley forge portraits

Clients, friends, and neighbors: I’m looking forward to First Friday so very much this September!  Haunani and her newly-retired husband Paul are creating an ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE backdrop for the fine art display that I can’t wait to share with you!  A single frame sneak peek of one of the cuties I’ve photographed lately:

Photographers, I got lots of comments on forums, Facebook and e-mail about the welcome packet I created a few weeks ago.  Well, it just so happens that it was my own design, and it IS rather nifty, so photographers: go buy the template, and get down with your welcome packet!

IT FEELS WARM HERE – villanova child photographer

The lovely Dana of Bamboo Photography stopped by with her fabulous friend Fara yesterday.  While Dana has been to the loft before, Fara stopped by my hallway portrait installation and said, “It feels warm here.”  I quickly apologized for the a/c being on the fritz, but Dana said, “No, he means the feeling.”  (Oh. Call me Captain Oblivious.)

I realized there can be no greater compliment to my work than to say that it captures the deepdown soul smiles kids create.  Hopefully these two images feel warm to you, too.

FAMILY EMERGENCY

Both my Mom & my Father-in-law will be undergoing major surgery within the next 48 hours, so my replies to e-mail/Facebook/Twitter/phone/carrier pigeon will take longer than usual.

Haunani is back from her vacation in Mexico, though, so any urgent matters can be handled by calling 610.216.7224.  She’ll take care of you — promise!
