You'd love to have a family portrait session that fully captures who you are, how you connect, and how much affection surfaces when all the members of your family are present within the camera frame.

We're happy to capture your family in our studio, complete with gorgeous light and minimal distractions, or in your comfy-cozy home full of familiar toys and routines. No matter where our session takes place, we'll delight in your delight. And we'll encourage you to pay attention to one another instead of the camera, because there's no 'add happy' button in Photoshop.

We don't care whether you're barefoot or wearing fuzzy slippers, and we won't be sending over a twenty-page list of suggestions about what to wear. (We can make you look beautiful in sweat pants if you love each other.) We just want to capture your family. Your habits, your quirks, and your love. And when you view the images we've created together for the first time, we want the depth of love you feel for your family to grab you by the collar and bring tears to your eyes.

ADOPTION X 5

This is the first of my happy Giving is Awesome giveaways — and I was absolutely delighted to spend time with this family. Darletha has adopted not one, or two, or three, or four, but FIVE foster children over the years, and they are so utterly delightful.

I finally got them to be ‘supermodels’ — and then, two seconds later, their ‘rockstars’ came out. ;)

Go ahead, say there’s no tickling allowed…works like a charm…

As you can see, the whole family was giggle-tastic. I got all sorts of cuddles and loves and handholds, and each kiddo was happy to ham it up for the camera. Doesn’t Darletha have the best family?

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

$249 for the hi-res CD? WHAT!!??

From now through the 5th of January, all you ’08 clients who didn’t buy your session CDs can score ‘em for $249 per session. Yep, that’s crazy cheap — it’s just a safety precaution, as I go from PC to Mac and from Old Faithful to New & Blissed Out computers in the coming weeks — I want you to be able to pick ‘em up, put ‘em in your safety-deposit boxes, and not worry about my having to keep them forever.

AND THE WINNER IS…

I can’t tell you. But they’ve been contacted, and I’ll reveal details with their permission. ;)

I *can* tell you, though, that making those phone calls on Christmas Eve was absolutely lovely, and made my holiday even better. Here’s hoping you all had a peaceful and joyful holiday!
