• You'd love to have a family portrait session that fully captures who you are, how you connect, and how much affection surfaces when all the members of your family are present within the camera frame.

We're happy to capture your family in our studio, complete with gorgeous light and minimal distractions, or in your comfy-cozy home full of familiar toys and routines. No matter where our session takes place, we'll delight in your delight. And we'll encourage you to pay attention to one another instead of the camera, because there's no 'add happy' button in Photoshop.

We don't care whether you're barefoot or wearing fuzzy slippers, and we won't be sending over a twenty-page list of suggestions about what to wear. (We can make you look beautiful in sweat pants if you love each other.) We just want to capture your family. Your habits, your quirks, and your love. And when you view the images we've created together for the first time, we want the depth of love you feel for your family to grab you by the collar and bring tears to your eyes.

The video below provides a peek at how portrait sessions unfold. If you have questions or would like to schedule a portrait session, click on the 'Contact' link above or call 215-206-3689. Oh -- and thanks for stopping by, lovely!

UPDATE

I am back from Learnfest on Bald Head Island, overwhelmed with information and ever so happy to have made the journey. To learn from utterly talented, wildly successful photographers is a thrill and an honor.

Thanks so much for being patient with your order processing while I’m off traipsing the globe!

Today, I am thankful for:

a day off.

a long nap.

utterly magnificent food.

a certain baby’s baptism, and the homemade (!) cake that followed.

having an 8-month-old boyfriend instead of a kid of my own. (For now, people!)

being at the fun part of opening the loft — decorating!

the love and support of one MattMatt.

and being allowed to play Spore on someone else’s computer, because my video card is ancient and hurts just *thinking* about having to load that game. :)

THEY GROW LIKE WEEDS, I TELL YOU.

Every time I see these two, they’ve grown six inches and have all sorts of new talents to show off…Isabel is two already! And Rafael plays soccer, where he says he scored 260 goals at a game this morning. {Or maybe three — three is good!}

I will be out of town until Friday for a workshop, so if I’m slow returning your phone calls or e-mails, know that I’m on the beach, sipping margaritas learning, and will get back to you as soon as I can.

MS. DANGER

1st up: There are FOUR wedding spots left for the ’09 season. So if you’re bein’ all wishy-washy, get on that.  And tell your friend who’s engaged but procrastinating about booking a photographer because she’s holding out to see if someone supremely gifted but willing to sell wedding coverage on Craigslist for $199 comes along.  (They won’t.  I promise.)

2ndly: Ms. Danger.  She’s adorable, she’s spiffy, she’s…a total tomboy. Ninja and secret agent are on my shortlist of career possibilities for Miss Olivia.

Don’t let the cuteness fool you — unless you are a garbage can with something metal and likely to cause tetanus sticking out of you, she has no interest in your existence.

Those eyelashes? Off the hook!

LOVESHOOT!

Yup, you read it right…a teeny tiny break from kids to bring you…love. :) These two haven’t set a wedding day yet, but kindly requested engagement photos.  Vince proposed to Sarah at an Eagles game, so this was appropriate.  (There wasn’t any ‘She said no’ jersey.  I asked.)

Too bad they’re both going to cry like whiny babies when the Eagles get schooled by the Steelers this Sunday!  ::ahem::

And onlookers totally thought I was a private investigator or something, shooting from the sidewalk for this shot…

A bit of light-fading-fast creativity…

…and one final shot.  This pretty much sums ‘em up…

Yah, they make each other a little happy. (But just a little.) Hugs upon the both of you!
